June 20th/21st- East Saginaw Bay Numbers, Shotgun Start

June 20 @ 8:00 pm - June 21 @ 6:00 am

Time: 8pm- 6am, Registration begins on-site at 7pm.

Location: Send-off and weigh-in at Sebewaing Harbor Marina. 700 W Sebewaing St, Sebewaing, MI 48759

Boundaries: East side of Saginaw Bay and its tributaries from the mouth of the Saginaw River to Sand Point. Shooting is permitted up to 3 miles inland on any of the tributaries.

Cost: A $10 fee per team is required since Sebewaing Harbor marina is gracious enough to allow us to use their facilities.

1. All boats must be present at both registration and weigh-in. No exceptions. Being late to weigh in will result in losing 1 fish per minute starting with the biggest fish
2. The entire east side of the bay will be closed to bowfishing starting 8pm Friday for all participants. Scouting is allowed, but no bows, gaffs, or spears in the boat after 8pm Friday. If you see someone out shooting, make a mental note and take a picture if possible of the boat, truck, and trailer and let a board member or host know.
3. You must launch at a public or public pay launch. No private launches can be used even if it’s attached to public water. If you have multiple vehicles they must all be at the same launch. There will be no parking a chase vehicle somewhere else.
4. If you participate in the Big 10 side pot, you must have your big fish sorted, and ready for weigh in before you get to the scales. No sorting allowed at the scales.
5. There will also be prizes for big dog, big gar, and big mystery fish included with your entry. Mystery fish specie will be determined at registration.

 

Open Class Numbers Format
Teams consist of a minimum of 2 shooters and a maximum of 4 per boat
$30 per shooter registration fee for participants over the age of 16 per class. 
Optional $5 big fish side-pot 
Optional $5 Big 10 side-pot
All participants must be a paid member of BAM ($30 yearly registration fee)

Sportsman Class Numbers Format
Designed for beginner tournament shooters (board approval/discretion)
$15 per shooter registration fee

Optional $5 Big 10 side-pot
All participants must be a paid member of BAM ($30 yearly registration fee)
Based on participation, payouts will be up to top 5.

 

Reminder: you represent the small sport of bowfishing, please be kind and courteous at the ramp and on the water.

We highly encourage anyone who hasn’t read the rules, or if it’s been a while since you have looked at them, go to the Rules page and look them over before Friday.
