May 16th/17th- West Saginaw Bay Big 20

Time: 8pm- 6am, Registration begins on-site at 7pm.

Location: 838 Hickory Island Rd, Standish, MI 48658

Boundaries: West side of Saginaw Bay and its tributaries from the mouth of the Saginaw River to the mouth of the Au Gres River. Shooting is permitted up to 3 miles inland on any of the tributaries.

Cost: $30 per person for participants over the age of 16. $5 of that $30 will automatically go toward the big fish pot. An annual $30 BAM membership is also required for this event.

Open Class Big 20 Format
Teams consist of a minimum of 2 shooters and a maximum of 4 per boat
$30 per shooter registration fee for participants over the age of 16 per class.

1. All boats must be present at both registration and weigh-in. No exceptions. Being late to weigh in will result in losing 1 fish per minute starting with the biggest fish
2. All tournament waters will be closed to bowfishing starting 8pm Friday for all participants. Scouting is allowed, but no bows, gaffs, or spears in the boat after 8pm Friday. If you see someone out shooting, make a mental note and take a picture if possible of the boat, truck, and trailer and let a board member or host know.
3. You must launch at a public or public pay launch. No private launches can be used even if it’s attached to public water. If you have multiple vehicles they must all be at the same launch. There will be no parking a chase vehicle somewhere else.
4. Must have your big 20 sorted, and ready for weigh in before you get to the scales. No sorting allowed at the scales.
5. There will also be prizes for big dog, big gar, and big mystery fish included with your entry. Mystery fish specie will be determined at registration.
Based on participation, payouts will be up to top 5.

Reminder: you represent the small sport of bowfishing, please be kind and courteous at the ramp and on the water.

We highly encourage anyone who hasn’t read the rules, or if it’s been a while since you have looked at them, go to the Rules page and look them over before Friday.

There will also be prizes for big fish species: big gar, big dog, and big goldfish (goldfish must have color) that are included with entry fee.
